Software programs are now available for downloading for our ABB customers. The following is a list of currently available programs:
The 2000R External Communications Programs
The 2000R Series' External Communications Programs provide for point-to-point communications with the relay. By using ECP you can program settings, map logical inputs and outputs, and monitor the metering and event recording functions of the relay. You can also use ECP software without being connected to a relay to explore the capabilities of the relay, or to create settings files to be downloaded at a later time.
All Programs are Windows based unless otherwise noted.
WinECP Version 4.73 for REF550, MSOC, DPU2000, DPU1500R, DPU2000R (ANSI & IEC), TPU2000 and TPU2000R Style Units (Includes Oscillographics Analysis Tool, CurveGen and WinFPI)
The Windows-based flash software, WinFPI, can be installed using the WinECP installation files below. The WinFPI flash instructions are found below the WinECP installation files. Any questions please call Customer Support at 1-800-523-2620 or +1 954-752-6800.
Download Instructions:
Click on the download link to start the download procedure. This will bring up the file download dialog box. The file download dialog box has two options: Open this file from its current location or Save this file to disk. Select Save this file to disk. When you choose this option, you will be saving the file to your hard drive. Saving the file to your hard drive makes it easier to find and extract the application without problems. Click SAVE to continue. The download will start. Once the download is complete, click on the WinECP V4.73.exe file to start the installation. Step-by-step instructions will guide you through the installation process.
GPUECP
Download Instructions:

DPU2000R Flash Firmware
Download Instructions:
For the DPU2000R, click on the download link to start the download procedure. This will bring up the file download dialog box. When you choose this option, you will be saving the file to your hard drive. Saving the file to your hard drive makes it easier to find and extract the application without problems. Click SAVE to continue to download to your hard drive.
- DPU2000R (Catalog Series 587 and CPU version 5.00 or higher)
This recently released flash firmware will increase security of operation and improve application use and is available for all Fast Surface Mount Technology (FSMT) DPU2000R units. A FSMT DPU2000R unit has flash firmware V5.00 or higher and can be identified using WinECP status bar, bottom-right of screen.

New Windows based configuration software is now available.
Now available from ABB, WinRCP is a Windows based remote communications program that serves as a tool for users to access and control information in ABB Protective Relays. Relays supported include most versions of MDAR, MMCO, REL301/302, REL350, REL352, REL356, ERNI, RONI and SADI.

The WinRCP registration link below will direct you to the registration page for the WinRCP software. Once completing the registration, click the submit button and you will be re-directed to the WinRCP Software download page. The registration is required as a contact means for future upgrades.

Relay Selection Guide Version
To download and install the Relay Selection Guide, please follow these instructions.
When you download a file, you have the option to either Open it or Save it to disk. Specify that you want to save to disk. This can be your hard-drive, a diskette, or any other writable media. Once you have downloaded the Relay Selection Guide (file "Abbsetup.exe"), please follow these directions.
The file "Abbsetup.exe" is a self-extracting zip file. Please copy this file to a temporary location, subdirectory or folder before running this program. If you downloaded to your hard-drive, be sure that you know the location of the file and this can serve as your temporary location. After copying this file to a temporary location and running this file, the user can then run the "setup" program to start the installation process.
To run the setup program from Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT, select "Start", "Run", "Browse" and select "Abbsetup.exe" from the previously designated file location. Double-click on "Abbsetup.exe" then "Next". The setup program will then start and will prompt to where to install the program.
After installing the program, the user may delete all files from the temporary location.
