The 550PM breaker includes three interrupter tanks comprised of cast aluminum and/or steel sections. Each factory completed tank assembly incorporates two (or three) serially connected puffer interrupters, a spring-hydraulic operating mechanism, an enclosure with pre-wired externally removable CT's, and a CT terminal block cabinet. During field erection, the pole units are mounted on separate galvanized steel support structures, and the bushings are assembled to each tank. A free-standing powdercoated steel control cabinet, housing the electrical control accessories, completes the arrangement.
