Customer representatives from around the world join ABB Network Management for presentations, workshops, and discussions.
ABB holds its annual Network Management User Group Meeting (UGM) in the United States in the Spring. The UGM provides ABB customers with an opportunity to see the latest developments from ABB, other ABB customers, and vendors supporting the ABB Network Manager product line. It is planned and coordinated by users elected to the UGM Board of Directors along with ABB support and is the premier event for customers, filled with technical presentations, demo room, workshops, and other networking events.
At these UGMs, customer representatives from around the world join ABB for programs filled with presentations, workshops, and lively discussions. These meetings also provide an outstanding opportunity to network with other engineers and executives in the industry. Many customers create and give presentations about their experiences with ABB Network Management products and services; their cooperation and support provide a big part of the dynamic and information exchange that exist at our UGMs.
The UGM represents all ABB Network Management products including third-party vendors/partners that support the product line. The UGM includes evening activities that allow participants excellent networking opportunities and a Demo Room Showcase. The Demo Room Showcase allows ABB and its partners to showcase latest products and solutions. UGM attendees are encouraged to review the demos, products, and solutions and ask questions of the Demo Room Showcase participants.
Historically, the UGMs are packed into three days and include general session and individual technical tracks. Technical tracks in the past have come under EMS, DMS, and MMS product areas and have included Integrator, Security, Applications, GenCo, Operators, Central Markets, DMS Admin, and FeederAll. Specialty tracks and sessions often exist to cover current industry hot topics.
In addition to the UGM, ABB Network Management holds product-focused meetings in the Fall. These meetings are held at the ABB office in Sugar Land, TX. The smaller size of these focus group meetings allows for greater product focus, individual participation, and one-on-one discussions.
